Unknown to many collectors is the Toy City light cycles, also known as Laser Cycle by their package. The Toy City Light Cycles are 4.75" long while the Tomy's are 6.5" long. The Toy City cycles are exact duplicates in every way of the Tomy versions and are well made too.

Toy City produced their Light Cycles in,

The colors of the back wheels also can range from black, to blue and probably other colors. They came on generic cards with a knock-off Gobot "Spoons". They have also been found boxed! They seem to be 85% unlicensed toys. We are not sure if the company bought the molds from Tomy or design, and then knocked off the Gobot Spoons.

These cycles cannot hold a Tron action figure, but they did come with rip cords. It is unknown when they were produced, but most feel around 1984 to 85'. That is when the Tron Light Cycles were already out, and the Gobots Spoons was out.
