The success of Thundercats and the money it earned attracted many bootleggers to knock-off a variety of toys. Most of these toys originate from Mexico and are still being produced to this day. The first knock-offs probably appeared shortly after the series debuted in 1985, but the fakes keeping getting produced even though the series has not aired for many years. It is almost impossible to tell at times if a knock-off is a 80's, 90's or a recent piece.

Knock-Off's can also be toys or other items that were created by someone and not just someone copying a mold. These toys are the most unique and their quality and detail can vary from a toy that will fall apart in your hands to a toy that is magnificently detailed. You never know what you may find and there are so many knock-off's that have yet to be recorded.
