These were created and given out by the Boy's Toys Marketing department. They must have had a lot of fun. I was told that these were actually created before the Generation 2 Minicars, and that they chose to produce them like this later on for Generation 2. The toy has original markings from the 1984 version. Also the chroming is lighter in color. Beachcomber is a test shot piece with a fishing line loop glued on so they can be ornaments. The package is stapled and reads "Transformers Christmas ornament". On the backside it reads "Merry Christmas from the Boys' Toys Marketing". Also says Jon (who is probably for).

Strangely enough and to my surprise, this Beachcomber is either a test shot or in unproduced colors. If you noitce, the headlights, legs and other parts are white plastic when they should have been neon red. Was Beachcomber original designed to be White & Green? Or is this a Test Shot that was hanging around that they gave out. Either way, a Minicar prototype is beyond diffiuclt.
