Mecha Launcher - RDF Recon Ship |

One of four Mecha Launchers released by Matchbox in 1985. This one comes with a RDF Recon Ship. You load the ship onto the spring loaded peg, set the launcher down on a flat surface and push the red button. The ship shoots out and rolls on it's wheels hidden underneath. You can store the loaded ship by folding it down underneath and inside the launcher. Once inside you can flip the red button and the ship springs out (switch blade style) and is ready for launching. Matchbox probably had this kind of launcher developed for it's die-cast car line and converted it to fit the Robotech look. You can see all of the ships and launcher out of the package here. |
